
Located on Mactan Island, the Mactan-Cebu airport serves as the main airport for Cebu which is one of three islands in the Visayas. Often called the Queen City of the South, Cebu is approximately 1 hour flight from Manila and houses an international airport. The Visayas or the Visayan Islands, is one of the three principal geographical divisions of the Philippines, along with Luzon and Mindanao. It consists of several islands, primarily surrounding the Visayan Sea, although the Visayas are considered the northeast extremity of the entire Sulu Sea. Its inhabitants are predominantly the Visayan people.
